Tennis Court Cleaning

How to clean your Tennis Court

Getting Started with Tennis Court Cleaning & Painting?

When performing any maintenance work on your tennis court, and especially when doing any tennis court cleaning and repainting, it is essential to ensure that the existing surface is completely clean before applying any new paint. This is because if any moss, debris or dirt is on the Tennis Court Floor, the paint will stick to the debris rather than the court surface itself.

What is the best way to kill moss or algae?

The most effective and longest lasting product is, Jeyes Fluid Multi Purpose Disinfectant Spray, which can be bought at most supermarkets.

It is important to spray on a dry day, and dry surface. For optimum results, leave for 1 to 2 days. (Please ensure you adhere to all health and safety recommended by the manufacture of this product)

Can I power wash my tennis court?

No. Power washing is not recommended as you can damage the surface.

It is always best to first brush down your tennis court with a hard / stiff brush and then use a garden hose to wash off any excess dirt.

Conclussion

All this extra scrubbing and cleaning might seem like a lot of extra bother. However, over time, especially as the weather and seasons change, as the dirt comes off the tennis court surface, the paint will peel off as well. Leaving you with a patchy and uneven tennis court!
